The recent earthquakes and the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse have raised old and new questions on the sovereignty of the people living in the Black democratic republic of the Western Hemisphere. Join us for a community conversation on how the Diaspora and Haitians can work together to help steer the tide.
Our moderator, Prof. Francois Pierre-Louis of Qc’s Political Science Dept. will open a dialogue between our guests Prof. Jean Eddy Saint Paul former director of CUNY Haitian Institute; Attorney and Community Activist Leonie M. Hermantin of the Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center; Prof. Cécile Accilien chair of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Kennesaw State University and you, our audience.
